About me

My name is Mary Roberts, I am 24 years old and have just recently completed my Bachelor of Design, majoring in Textiles with First-Class Honours. I was born in the UK and moved to New Zealand with my family in 2008. I am a creative thinker, I love all things texture, leading me to create designs that capture the tactility of Textile Design. I have skills in Weaving, Knitting, Screenprint, Tufting, and Dye. My passion is based around colour, challenging traditional colour theory, mixing up dye recipes and using abstract painting to create colourful designs.
